Peace is every step.
The shining red sun is my heart.
Each flower smiles with me.
How green, how fresh all that grows.
How cool the wind blows.
Peace is every step.
It turns the endless path to joy.
- Thich Nhat Hanh
I’m only seven minutes in this video and I am already feeling at peace.
I don’t want to be angry anymore. I don’t want to worry anymore about my past or future.
I have arrived. I am home.
In the here. In the now.
I am solid. I am free.
In the ultimate I dwell.
—Thich Nhat Hanh
“Waking up this morning I smile twenty-four new hours are before me I vow to live fully in each moment and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion.”

Got these two books at First Friday tonight.
‘Everything Is Going To Be Okay’ is a book full of positive pictures and ‘Your True Home’ by Thich Nhat Hanh is pretty amazing so far.
My therapist let me borrow this book from her, Learning True Love by Chan Khong. It’s her autobiography of being a Vietnamese Zen Buddhist nun and contemporary of Thich Nhat Hanh. It looks really awesome so far. I still haven’t had a chance to finish Thich Nhat Hanh’s, You Are Here, but I’ll try to get back to that very soon.
I borrowed this book from my psychologist, Living Buddha, Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hanh. Through my psych I’ve heard a lot about him, and read a few quotes (I even had a calendar with positive monthly affirmations by him). But so far I’ve never read anything he has written.
So far, I love this book. It’s all about the similarities and the core teachings of love, compassion, gratitude, and forgiveness found within Christianity and Buddhism.
Through what I know and have read of him, in my opinion, I think he is an extremely spiritual man. If more people listened to and practiced his teachings (as well as any other belief that at its core champions love over hate) then we could bring about something wonderful in this world.
