for NaNoWriMo because my brain wouldn’t shut up with ideas when I was trying to go to sleep last night.
Turns out, the main protagonist is a non-magical human young woman. Among the supplies that she carries around to protect her from the magical non-human and human baddies are:
- A large hula hoop filled with salt. When she needs protection she’ll plop it on the ground and sit in it. Sadly, it’s only big enough for one person to just barely crouch in comfort inside its ring.
- Enchanted sunglasses. The being wearing them can see through any illusion, glamour, or magical disguise. Sadly, they are not very clear to see through at night.
